Current data use
Railside Ratings is currently a lightweight public racing research app. It does not provide user accounts, deposits, betting execution, or payment handling in the app.
Information processed
- Server logs may include IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp for security and operational diagnostics.
- App databases store racing data, generated tips, paper signals, market snapshots and result/performance records.
- If contacted through a connected messaging channel, the platform may expose message metadata needed to reply or deliver alerts.
Cookies and analytics
Railside Ratings uses a self-hosted Umami analytics instance to understand aggregate page usage without building betting profiles or selling visitor data. The tracker records limited technical information such as page path, referrer, browser, device type, country-level location and timestamp. Hosting or platform infrastructure may also use essential technical logs for operation and security.

Railside Ratings links to external sites such as responsible gambling resources and data providers. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Retention
Operational logs and research data may be retained as needed for debugging, auditability, strategy validation and abuse prevention. Do not submit sensitive personal information through Railside Ratings.
