How safe should Railside Ratings play?
The page is now user-friendly: choose Safe, Optimum or Aggressive with one slider. The app still does the detailed scoring, thresholds and race filtering behind the scenes.

Safety / aggression slider
You choose how safe or adventurous to play. Behind the scenes the engine automatically swaps the score thresholds, market limits and race gates for that risk level. Regular Back tips now pass an evidence-gated quality filter: high confidence with composite score 70-75 only.
Recommended auto setting: selective, but not so tight that it misses too many good opportunities.
What the engine still checks automatically
Race profile: UK/Irish handicaps, class 3–5 where possible, and the 8–12 runner sweet spot.
Horse 1: market leader or near-favourite with recent top-two form and strong jockey signal.
Horse 2: recent 3rd/4th profile with trainer-form signal and a recent run.
Protection: distance, market sanity, high-variance odds, missing data and NO BET gates.
